QA Engineer

Job Description:

  • As a Quality Assurance Engineer at Prodigy, you will be part of an amazing team helping millions of kids learn math in an entirely unprecedented and fun way.
  • Your responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and execute automated testing in the test automation framework for the website and the game
  • Configure, maintain, and/or administer testing tools or environments (Jenkins, Selenium,etc.)
  • Maintain and refactor automated scripts in the test automation framework
  • Work with the DevOps team to integrate or explore new testing tools.
  • Participate in sprint  planning, estimation, and review processes using Agile methodologies with our web team
  • Analyze the testing needs and develop testing strategy and plans
  • Perform exploratory manual testing, as required for major releases
  • Work collaboratively within high-performance scrum team to ensure the clarity of business/functional requirements
  • Responsible for defect tracking and maintaining accurate status
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve Prodigy’s game and website. We have an environment where good ideas win, and your ideas could help shape our product

What you’ll need:

  • Minimum 3 years QA/test development experience with web-based applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or relevant field
  • At least 1-year experience working within an Agile Environment
  • At least 1 year of automation testing experience using Selenium or related technologies
  • Experience with building test automation frameworks using Selenium
  • Knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices
  • Strong functional testing skills for Web and Mobile applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to master new applications and technologies quickly
  • Knowledge of one or more programming language (Java, Javascript)

Nice to have:

  • Experience in automating API testing
  • Experience with Appium for Mobile App Automation
